Brat Khoota: A rural festival to celebrate the animal power in agriculture...

Radhu Rai from Dhanbad in Jharkhand is telling us about a regional rural festival called Brat Khoota which is celebrated side by side national festivals like Durga Puja. On this day the farmers decorate their cattle and tie them to a strong Khoota ( pole). They sing songs for the cattle and also encourage them to show their power. The meanings of the songs are like this: Be nice to your owner who has been so nice to you all the year. For more Radhu Ji can be reached at 08292376273
