Police entered houses, adivasis burnt them to keep tradition

Khuturam Sunani from Nuapada district of Odisha is telling us about adiavasi traditions. He says it is said that adivasi festivals are synonyms of drinking. But he witnessed a 15 day long festival of Chutia Bhunjia adivasis where even touching of liquor is prohibited. He says this community treats their kitchen as most sacred and do not allow any male outsider there. Few days back when police entered their houses suspecting them as maoists, the adivasis burnt more than 100 houses. He says similar adivasi traditions should be preserved.
