Iodine is is essential for physical & mental development especially for children. Deficiency of Iodine could affect proper mental growth.In adults lack of Iodine reduces working performances. Iodine deficiency in pregnant women can cause miscarriage. Goiter disease is caused by deficiency of Iodine.To get sufficient amount of Iodine always use Iodized salt.
