Janmavati Ji from Bahini Darbar, a women’s group in Rewa MP is visiting Chhipia village in Jaba block. More than 500 dalits and adivasis live in the village but it has no handpump. Women from the village tell her that they fetch drinking water from a ditch a kilometer away which is dirty and many are falling ill. They also do not have money to go to doctors.
