Sudam Bhoi from Bargarh district in Odisha is reciting a poem in Kosli language on the occasion of Nuakhai festival tomorrow. He says on this day people in Western Odisha and Chhattisgarh start eating new harvested rice after paying homage to Goddess. The words of poem are like this:
हमारे परब हमारे गर्व हैं
देखो हमारा त्यौहार आ गया है
माँ सम्बलेश्वरी सबको सुख दे
सबको नुआखाई का जोहार
इस नुआखाई को याद करते हुये
हिंसा अहंकार कपटता त्यागकर
सब कोई इस परब को मनाएं, जोहार
