Forest dept evicted adivasis from forest land, No action on Forest Rights Act...

Jagdish Ji today is visiting manikpur village in Chitrakoot district in Uttar Pradesh where he meets 40 adivasi families. They tell him that they started cultivating around 300 bigha of forest land in 1992 but they were removed from that land in 2000. They have applied for getting that land back under Forest Rights Act but there is no action. He also meets some activists who have started a movement for many adivasi communities who are not recognised as adivasi in UP. For more Jagdish Ji can be reached at 09919165145
