एक था RTO का दलाल
शराबी भी था और शौकीन भी
दलाली कर पैसा कमाना जिसका था शगल
जिसे न परिवार की चिंता थी न समाज की
बस रहता था नशे में मस्त
पर एक दिन की घटना ने जिसकी बदल दी अक्ल
और फिर RTO की दलाली से निकला एक RTI कार्यकर्ता
नशे की लत छूटी और शौक ने समाज सेवा का रूप ले लिया
जुनून ऐसा कि जिसके हाथ RTI आवेदन लिखते लिखते थकते नहीं
और मुँह से RTI के लिए आवाज बंद होती नहीं
स्वास्थ विभाग हो या फिर राशन विभाग
शंकर सिंह का RTI आवेदन आपको जरूर मिलेगा
डीएम हाउस से लेकर पीएम् हाउस तक शंकर सिंह के नाम की चर्चा है
कहते है किसी भी विभाग से सूचना दिलाने की ताकत रखता है ये बन्दा
पर जिंदगी का भी खेल देखिये साथियों
समाज के लिए लड़ने वाले के घर में
रोटी-दाने का इंतजाम करने वाला कोई नहीं
बीमार बच्चे के इलाज की भी कोई व्यवस्था नहीं
एक समय ऐसा भी आर्थिक कंगाली से जूझ रहे
परिवार के भरण पोषण का भी कोई इंतजाम नहीं
ऐसे में जिंदगी ने दोराहे पर लाकर खड़ा कर दिया जहाँ,
एक तरफ फिर से वही RTO की काली कमाई और दलाली का स्वर्ग था
तो दूसरी तरफ मेहनत और ईमानदारी की आलू की ठेलिया का गर्व था
साथियों एक आम आदमी की नैतिकता और इंसानियत की अनूठी मिसाल देखिये,
घोर विपत्ती के समय में भी इस आठवी पास व्यक्ति ने
ईमानदारी का दामन नहीं छोड़ा
और RTO की दलाली का रास्ता ठुकराकर, आलू की ठेलिया से नाता जोड़ा
जीवन के इस कठिन मोड़ पर भी शंकर सिंह ने RTI से मुंह न मोड़ा
और अपनी आलू की ठेलिया से ही RTI की मुहीम को फिर छेड़ा
दिन में आलू बेचना तो रात रात भर जागकर RTI आवेदन लिखना
यहाँ तक कि हर आलू खरीदने वाले को RTI का इस्तेमाल करना भी सिखाना
इसे शंकर सिंह का जूनून ही कहेंगे जिसने
उन्हें आलू की ठेलिया से ‘जनता सूचना केंद्र” तक पहुँचाया
आज वे एक बार फिर से अपने इस जनता सुचना केंद्र के माध्यम से कमजोर और असाहय लोगो के अधिकारों की लड़ाई लड़ रहे है
