A woman is calling from block Kamra in district Gumla of Jharkhand. She says we fought against Arcelor Mittal in leadership of Dayamani Barla. We fought in our village, in our block, in our district, in our capital and went upto parliament. We did not break any law in our fight to save our land, water and forest. We were disciplined. We will not allow any land to be taken by force and similarly we will fight to take our leader out of jail who is our strength, our inspiration.

A villager from Nagri in Ranchi in Jharkhand says the newspapers are telling that we harvested our crop with help from administration. That is not correct. Administration tried to stop us the day before and have not helped us yesterday. We harvested our crop on our own. She requests us to help bring Dayamani Barla out of jail. She says Govt does not behave so badly even with a terrorist. Is fighting for one’s own land such big a crime?
