He says that villagers are forced to drink water from a small hole a kilometer away. People also take bath in the same hole. Jaya Dhruv from Jamgaon in Bastar district of Chhattisgarh says that in her village no health worker has been appointed for last 3 years even after repeated requests from the panchayat. For the same reason no immunisation is taking place. The nearest health center is 14 kms away and there are no facilities for going to hospital and the resident adivasis are suffering. Dr Haneef from Bhadrachalam in Khammam district of Andhra Pradesh is telling us that yesterday 7 adivasis from Matili area of Malkangiri district of Odisha were abducted while passing by Bhadrachalam to go for work. 2 of them who could escape had recorded their message on Swara and since then many have helped. And thanks to their efforts police have arrested the agents and rescued the 5 adivasis. They were very pleased and have now left for their onward journey. Kamal Shukla from Kanker in Chhattisgarh attended a rally of students and parents in Koelibeda where they told him about the bad situation of education facilities in the block. They told him that there are 4 high schools which does not have any teachers and teachers from primary and middle section are running the schools. Many schools do not have buildings.
