Health workers go to Dalit areas in 3 months but every month to others!
Padmalochan Varma from Raj Khariar in Nuapada district in Odisha is talking to an Anganwadi worker Anju Tandi in a dalit basti. Anju tells her that though health workers visit other anganwadi centers every month but two anganwadi centers in their area are visited one in 3 months and for that reason children, pregnant women are suffering. दक्षिण बस्तर के आदिवासी बच्चों को बेहतर शिक्षा के लिए राजधानी के करीब एक पब्लिक स्कूल में प्रशासन ने भर्ती करा दिया, लेकिन बच्चों की फीस और अन्य राशि जमा करने में लापरवाही के चलते बच्चों को 12वीं उत्तीर्ण करने के बाद टीसी नहीं दी जा रही है, परेशान बच्चे भटक रहे हैं। भूमि अधिग्रहण का विरोध कर रहे किसानों और पुलिस वालों के बीच रविवार को संघर्ष हुआ। इसमें तीन दर्जन पुलिस वालों समेत करीब 100 लोग घायल हो गए। पुलिस की फायरिंग में तीन लोग घायल हो गए, जिनकी हालत गंभीर बताई गई है।लोकपाल विधेयक पारित कराने की मांग पर 25 जुलाई से अनशन करने जा रहे अरविंद केजरीवाल ने रविवार को कहा कि टीम अन्ना के लिए यह आरपार की लड़ाई है और वे बलिदान के लिए तैयार होकर अनशन पर बैठेंगे।

Govt act for welfare of handicapped people must be implemented
Hariram Korram from Chhattisgarh Viklang Manch ( Handicaped association) is saying that handicapped people are facing various kinds of problem because of insensitivity of state govt officials. Panchayats do not have provisions to help handicapped people and the central law of 1995 is not known to handicapped people in remote areas and the state govt does not implement these laws. Andhra forest dept breaks huts of IDPs twice after burning it first...
Dr Haneef of Sitara organisation in Khammam district of Andhra Pradesh is visiting Nagopalli village in Satyapalli mandal. 3 weeks back he had reported that forest department has burnt the huts of Internally displaced people ( IDPs) from Chhattisgarh who have come to Andhra to escape the ongoing conflict there. Today the adivasis tell him that after they were released by the forest department and some how got united with their women and children who had ran away in the forest and made their huts again, the forest department has broken their huts twice more but still they can not go back to their home in Chhattisgarh. Forest dept is burning our huts, destroying our crops, please help...
A member of Ekta Parishad is calling from Maldhan block in Sagar district of Madhya Pradesh to tell us that forest department is harassing a lot of adivasi people there. He says at least in 5 villages forest department people have burnt and broken the houses of the adivasis though they are living there from more than 20 years. They are also beating up the people and destroying their crops. They have also complained to the collector and people have applied everwhere for land deeds but no one listens.
