Ajiteshwar Pathak from Bodha village in Surguja district in Chhattisgarh says that there is a primary school in my village for girls. Under Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan work for school buiding started in 2006 but it is yet to be completed. The school at the moment has 5 classes and 4 teachers but just one class room, so 4 teachers teach 5 classes in one room. The story of the boys school is also same which is running in a rented accomodation as the construction work is hugely delayed. He requests authorities to act to hel the suffering children. Dayamani Barla from Ranchi in Jharkhand is sharing about a unique protest by adivasi women of Nagri village. The people are protesting a Govt move to acquire land to build Indian Institute of Managament there. As per adivasi tradition when a village is attacked by disease the women throw away trash from the village to another area. This symbolises the disease moving away from the village to the other area. A farmer is reacting to the news of highest rise in the cost of vegetables in the country in last few days. He says Govt says the price of vegetable has gone up many times but I grow vegetable and I do not get any raise. I have been selling my vegetable in Rs 5 per kg. The maximum I get is Rs 7. After selling I also need to pay Rs 15 to the broker whereas people are buying the same vegetable in Rs 30 and 40. Prices of everything has gone up but not for farmer.
