Rakesh Dewan from Madhya Pradesh is reporting about a movement started by adivasis in Badwani district asking why the administration not be given a Zila Badar ( externement) notice citing their failure on all counts of social development in past years. The adivasis are protesting against an externment notice to their leader Madhuri of Jagrut Adivasi Dalit Sangathan by the administration. Pitbasu Bhoi from Gram Adhikar Manch in Pampapur village in Surguja district says that a forest fire has broken near his village. More than 10 members of their organization have got injured trying to fire fight but there is no trace of forest department and district authorities are also not concerned. He says this is the way the forest is getting finished. Last year also there was a fire and people from his organisation worked hard. Arpana from Ranchi is telling us about the struggle of villagers who are sitting on dharna from last 3 months protesting taking over their land for Indian Institute of Management. She says one lady has died while in dharna. High Court has rejected villagers demand saying half the people had taken compemsation in 1950s which is not true. She also says that in 50s Prime Minister Nehru had promised to villagers that their land will not be taken away but this govt has no concern for the people.
