A P Joshi from Dabhra in Janjgir district of Chhattisgarh says on 21st April Bhan Sahu had intrviewed me about people from a nearby village not getting and unemployment allowance under NREGA. He speaks to a woman from that village who tells him that the officer visited the same day and NREGA work started in the village but they are not keen to give unemployment allowance. Anil Bamne from Bilaspur says today a poor pregnant woman went to the govt hospital in Kota where nurses demanded Rs 300 after the delivery. They also asked the family to buy equipments needed for delivery.The doctor demands Rs 200 to sign on the form of Janani Suraksh Yojna. When free ambulence is not available then one needs to hire a vehicle to reach the hospital. This way a poor woman ends up spending more than Rs 2000 for delivery. This needs to change.
