If can't give electricity, please give solar power, says adivasi

Hem Singh Markam an adivasi from Kabirdham district of Chhattisgarh says there is no electricity in my village. Though government survey took place 5 years ago but there is no sign of electricity. He says if government can not put electricity they should help them with solar panels. CM helps laborers build houses, police breaks them down!

My name is Sumi Sahu. I am a laborer in Urla industrial area near Raipur. On 4th July 2011 we went to meet Chief Minister in his Jan Darshan program requesting him to give land for laborers working in Urla. Our ticket number was 50051100046. CM passed on our request to Collector who passed it on the City administration who orally asked us to build houses. We built 200 houses as per their instruction but the police broke our houses. Contract laborers in NTPC Chhattisgarh getting exploited

Vijendra Dwivedi from Contract laborers union in NTPC Seepat in Bilaspur Chhattisgarh says the contractors are not giving minimum wage to laborers working here. They are not respecting other labor laws and not adhering to safety standards. NTPC also is misbehaving with farmers whose land they have taken.
