Demand of Adivasi religion to be included in Constitution

Santosh Tudu from Ranchi in Jharkhand is telling us about Santhal adivasis from Jharkhand, Orissa, Bihar, Chhattisgarh and West Bengal getting together and demanding inclusion of Adivasi Sarna religion to be included in the Indian constitution. NREGA: Even RTI 2nd appeal unable to dig out corruption

Prakash Gupta from Surguja in Chhattisgarh says Right to Information is not able to help expose corruption in NREGA. He says he had heard about corruption in NREGA in his village so he applied under RTI to get some details but he did not. Then he went for appeal but the higher official is still sitting on his application after months though legally he should decide on it in 45 days. NREGA payments are late by years, people loosing hope

Vishnu Sharma from Katabhanji in district Bolangir in Odisha says in his area NREGA payments are late and people are loosing hope. He mentions the case of an adivasi Chitman Baria who gave his land for construction of road to Govt and also worked as labour for 45 days but he is yet to get paid his wages after a year. Regular immunisation not happening in forest villages

Anil Bamne from Bilaspur in Chhattisgarh says regular immunisation of children is not taking place in the villages inside Achanakmar tiger reserve. The health workers do not visit the villages regularly. Tribal mothers do not know about immunisation and sometimes the immunisation of children is very late.
