Message from a girl child protesting Nuclear power plant
Kamayani from Mumbai translates 12 year old Zohra’s message in English-”Tens of Thousands of people are protesting the setting up of Nuclear Power plant in Kodankulam Tamilanadu. We are surrounded by police men. For 4 days we have camped here without food. Somehow we are managing to get food from the sea, but it is not enough.I have not gone to school, and one woman who has delivered a baby is not being allowed to go home.I am not under pressure to participate, but I will not leave because this plant is just 2 kilometres from my village, and we can all be killed one day like the people in Japan. All of you please support us in any way you can.”Kamayani can be contacted at 9820749204
