Khuturam Sunani is reporting live from a Dalit rally in Nuapada district of Odisha during the Nuakhai festival. More than 5000 dalits are participating in the procession with their musical instruments. He says though it is a cultural rally to show their tradition but it is also a rally to assert their rights. Raped woman gets help from villagers but not from Police...
Uttam Gautam is telling us about a Dalit woman who was raped by a driver and she somehow escaped and saved herself. The villagers from nearby took her to police and helped file a complaint. But police has not helped her and have made her sign on a blank paper. A complaint to SC/ST commission and Women’s commission has not helped. Her family has also now disowned her. Sugia Oraon went to Delhi 3 years back, have not returned...

NREGA: No wages for digging 2000 ponds from 18 months
Tapan Das from Nuapada district of Odisha is telling us that Collector had given oral orders to farmers to build farm ponds upto the cost of Rs 10,000 to 2000 farmers in June 2010 under NREGA. But after one and half years none of the farmers have got the wages for digging the ponds. Rather the administration is charging the farmers of using machines to dig these ponds in their lands. No teacher, Villagers lock the school, start their own
Khuturam Sunani from Nuapada district in Odisha is telling us about a school in a village called Shraddhapur where there are 142 students but only one para teacher. The villagers have been complaining to the authorities from last 6 months but nothing has moved.
