Story of dalit rape victim: Police, SC commission none help

Advocate Uttam Gautam is telling us story of a dalit woman who was gang raped in 2010. When she went to police they did not do anything on the case. She went to SC/ST commission. When they took up the case the investigation came to same police officers. In the mean time her husband left her. Two of her children were kidnapped by the rapists. But she did not relent. Mining is destroying trees important for tribal economy...

Mangal Kunjam is telling us from Dantewada district of Chhattisgarh that due to ongoing mining the trees like Imli, Mahua are getting finished in the area. He says forest department only cares for trees like Teak and Eucalyptus. He says adivasis have not got jobs in the mining and depend on these trees for their income. Bank keeping Tendu collection money for loan repayment!

Afzal Khan from Bhopalpatnam in Chhattisgarh is talking to an adivasi who tells him that Govt has sent cheques as bonus for Tendu leaf collection in 2007. But when they go to local State Bank of India the bank officials are telling that the money is deposited as a return for loan taken by them. Road constructed with anti Naxal money, villagers happy...

Tapan Das today is telling us the story about a village in border of Odisa and Chhattisgarh. The village got no road, no electricity, no water in 65 years after independence. Thanks to Integrated Action Plan of Govt of India to fight Maoists a road has been constructed in the village and villagers are very happy. No teacher has come to this school from last 5 months...

Khuturam Sunani is telling us today about a school where no teacher has turned up from last 5 months. Children spend their time playing. One para teacher used to come occassionally in last 2 years, but that has also now got stopped. The school was opened in 60s in this village of 60 adivasi families.
