Handicapped not getting pension from 6 months

KM bhai from Asha Parivar Kanpur says in his area handicapped people have not got their pension from last 6 monhts. He says though there are more than 1.5 lakh people registered as handicapped people in Govt recrods but only 18,000 get any pension. Due to non payment the handcapped people are suffering badly for many of whom roaming around officials is a big challenge. Officials say they will give pension when the money arrives. Got rights but still forest dept stops from tilling the land!

Rajim from Chhattisgarh is talking to an adivasi in Teka village who has got land rights for 3 acre of forest land under Forest Rights Act but the officials of forest department are threatening him and are not allowing him to till the land. People face difficulty due to bandh call by Maoists
