He says though these bricks also make the buildings where our policymakers in Delhi live and make laws but there are no schools for the children of these workers. Mangal Kunjam is interviewing two villagers from Kadampal village near NMDC. The villagers had deposited money in Gram Panchayat to get deeds for the land they were cultivating. But now the City council has taken over the land and are evicting people. People are also worried about bad impact on adjacent land to the proposed bus stand which the city council is planning on the land. People want to start an agitation to go back to Gram Panchayat. 20 Baiga adivasis today walked 35 kms through hills to Kota in Bilaspur district in Chhattisgrh to ask about wages for NREGA work they did 6 months ago with some volunteers from Navrachna Samaj Sevi Sanstha. First Program Officer Reena Yadav told them money has been sent to post office. When they demanded this in writing she refused.
