NREGA : Middlemen took away job cards,withdraws money with fraudulent entries...

A villager from Ranchi district of jharkhand says in his area all the NREGA job cards of villagers have been taken away by middlemen and they only take out the money from post offices on villagers behalf. no one has got job for 100 days here but some job card shows that people have worked for 100 days. Gram Panchayat in disarray, villagers feel hopeless...

Pannulal Dhurve from Mandla district of Madhya Pradesh is talking about bad situation of panchayat in his village. He says there are no meetings of Gram Sabha are taking place. Chief Minister will meet, kelo dam oustees call off hunger strike

Rajesh Tripathi from Raigarh in Chhattisgarh says after assurance from police chief of the district the protesting farmers have called off their hunger strike. The farmers sat on hunger strike from 25th April demanding better compensation for their land which will submerge under kelo dam. The Chief Minister will meet the delegation on 13th May.
