Jaypushp from Gorakhpur says police yesterday attacked a peaceful demonstration of workers when they went to collector office to give their memorandum. More than 25 were injured and 12 workers were arrested. Leader of the movement was picked up by police and have not been produced in court yet. Bhola Nishad from Chhattisgarh Mukti Morcha is talking about arrest of two leaders Lakhan Sahu and Bhagvati Sahu. Laborers of multinational Holcim cement company are continuing with their agitation from more than one and half month to force implementation of High Court order to regularize workers. Instead of arresting security staff of the company who is terrorizing the agitating workers police have arrested the leaders of the agitation on charges of dacoity. Sanjay Sharma says Rural development secretary of Chhattisgarh has passed an order for timely disbursement of MGNREGA wages. The new order says all the workers must be paid after every 6 days. Districts will monitor it every two weeks and will send monthly progress report to capital. After this order some long pending wage distribution at village level has started.
