Request to President to help implement a High Court order!

Bhagirath Verma from Chhattisgarh Mukti Morcha says they support the struggle of workers in Gorakhpur which he has heard on Swara and condemns the role of police there. He says they are also on strike from last March demanding implementation of High Court order in ACC Holcim cement factory but there is no action from the Govt. Secretary says he does not talk to common citizens...Pls call him

Amir Rizvi says he heard the report by Dudhiram Jaiswal in Swara that education officer is demanding bribe to regularize his village primary school. As advised on the site I called education secretary Mr Rao at 09425207525 who got very angry first and said he does not talk to common citizens and strangers on phone. But when he realized I may be a journalist then advised Dudhiram to file a police case. Now the question is whether police will file and act on a complaint of a poor against an officer?

Public hearing for Uranium mine: Without any info to public...

Asish Biruli from Jadugoda says there is a public hearing planned for 26th May for expansion of Uranium mines of Uranium Corporation India Ltd a Govt of India company. But public has not been given any documents. No announcement has also been made in the newspapers. Bank harassing women self help groups of mineworkers...

Manoj Kumar from adivasi areas of South Rajasthan says he is trying to open bank accounts for Self Help groups of women mine workers in the area but it seems with connivance from local private mine owners the nationalized bank manager is not helping in opening these accounts. Manoj says it looks the mine owners think once women self help groups will have their own bank accounts then they will be able to operate mines as a co-operative.
