Court has rejected bail to social activists Ramesh Agrawal and Harihar Patel today and have sent them in judicial custody till 3rd June. Just before going to the court Rameshji had sent us this report. They have been charged with misbehaving with Jindal employees in a public hearing. But he says there was no Jindal employee in the hearing and instead they had raised the issue of misbehavior by Jindal employees towards SP Raigarh Dhruv Gupta ( 09479192300) from few days back. He says all of this can be seen in the video recording. Current SP Rahul Sharma (09425507181) says the recording proves the charges against the activists.

Bhagirath Verma from Chhattisgarh Mukti Morcha says they oppose the arrest of social activists in Raigarh and demand their immediate unconditional release. If they are not released then CMM will be forced to start agitation in all over the state and the state govt will be responsible for it. He also demands that state should help implement the High court order of regularisation of workers in Holcim ACC cement where workers are sitting on strike demanding the same from last March.

Social activist Ramesh Agrawal from Raigarh in Chhattisgarh sent this report at 5.48 am on 28th May 2011 before getting arrested. Later we came to know that though police did reach the house of other activist Rajesh Tripathi but he managed to give a slip to police but we are releasing the message from Ramesh Agrawal unedited where he says Rajesh Tripathi was also arrested. They are arrested on a case by Jindal from 8 May 2010 where these activists protested against irregularity in public hearing in Tamnar ( IPC 500 to 505). Jagat Madi from Jadugoda in Jharkhand says the official from Pollution Control Board has said that after yesterday’s successful public hearing the lease renewal for Uranium mining will be given to Uranium Corporation of India. He says yesterday not only people but press was also prevented from attending the public hearing.
