Sanjay Sharma from Ambikapur in Surguja district of Chhattisgarh says when Pitbasu Bhoi who got his NREGA payment a year after (and after the death of his ) went to apply for compensation for late paymnet according to NREGA laws his application was not accepted by authorities. He says before people from the same village Pampapur applied for compensation when they did not get work 15 days after the application as per NREGA law, but that application was also not accepted. A caller from Kota in Bilaspur district in Chhattisgarh tells the story of how it took them 3 to 5 months and many vists to forest officials to get the payment for NREGA work. He says forest department forces people to work under NREGA and does not pay for months and that is forcing people to migrate. NREGA has not solved the problme of employemnt as it intends and how can a poor work for NREGA when the payment is so delayed. He says we need to get together to change this

Rajim from Pithora in Chhattisgarh says she had sent a message yestereday that a temple is getting constructed using NREGA money and dalits are not allowed to work in that work. She says that message was not correct and she sends her apologies for sending this wrong information

Rajim from Pithora block in Chhattisgarh says today they organised meetings of two villagers where NREGA work is not happening from last one year and people are migrating outside in search of work. She says they gave a memorandum to administrative officers who have promised to start NREGA work in next 3 days. Then she says they also visited a vilalge called Gidli where a Jagannath temple is being built in the village using NREGA money and no dalit families are allowed to work.
