Baiga tribals stage day long protest in Kawardha in Chhattisgarh

Bhan Sahu is reporting from Kawardha where Baiga tribals organized a day long protest dharna under banner of Adivasi Samta manch. The Baiga tribals were demanding regularization of government schemes in health, education and employment guarantee. She says in many villages government has made buildings for hospitals but have not arranged any doctors or medicine and tribals are forced to walk many miles at the time of sickness.

Forest Rights Act gives hope to Birhor tribals in Jharkhand

No pesticide required in Organic farming

Sebastian Ji is reporting after talking to a farmer called Salimuddin in Gariaband that farmers who are doing organic farming do not face much problem of insects while the farmers who are using chemical fertilizers from government shops there farms are filled with insects and they are fed up of using more and more pesticides. And the pesticides are not effective but government agricultural officers are not ready to listen to this fact. He says after seeing the benefits of organic farming many farmers are very excited about it

Women get together to install solar power in a village
