चारों ओर जगमगाती रोशनियां हैं
और उन जगमगाती रोशनियॉ के बीच हंसती हुई ऊंची ऊंची इमारते हैं
और उन इमारतों में हंसते हुए लोग हैं
जहां देखो उधर रोशनी ही रोशनी है
और उन जगमगाती रोशनियों से दूर
शहर के आखिरी छोर पर झुग्गी झोपडियां हैं
जहां टिमटिमाते हुए कुछ दिए जल रहे हैं
दिए की लौ लगातार लड रही है अंधेरों से
और अंधेरा है कि भागने का नाम नहीं ले रहा है
अंधेरो से घिरे झोपडियों में बैठा आदमी
देख रहा है दिए को अंधेरे से लडते
अजीब विड्म्बना है
एक अंधेरा बाहर है
जो उसे चारों ओर से घेरा है
और दूसरा उसके भीतर का अंधेरा है
जो वर्षों से दूर नहीं हो रहा है
अंधेरो से घिरा आदमी लगातार लड रहा है
अपने बाहर और भीतर के अंधेरों से
और सामने रोशनी से नहाई अट्टालिकाएं हैं
जो बरसों से हंस रही हैं

Nathulal Gadialohar is a ward member in Tonk district of Rajasthan. But the special thing about Nathulal Ji is that he is the first elected political leader of Gadialohar community who roams around in bullock cart from one place to another. They do not have a fixed abode and that affects the education of children. Adivasi languages department of Ranchi university was first institution in the country to have these facilities. This department has students in 9 tribal languages but after creation of Jharkhand the department is in such a bad situation that today they have 3 teachers to teach 9 languages. No teacher was added in the department from last many years though Jharkhand was created to help the tribals
