Only 3 in 30 have NREGA card, No electricity but rarely get Kerosene in PDS

Shakeel Rizvi from Jagdalpur, district headquarter of Bastar in Chhattisgarh says he went 30 kms to Naxal affected Pengaras village in Netanar panchayat today. He had to cross 3 streams where villagers have made bamboo bridges. Village has 30 Dhurwa adivasi families but only 3 have NREGA card. No work at home, Released bonded Adivasi girls back to bonded life again

Shakeel Rizvi from Bastar in Chhattisgarh says recently by active action of Collector 26 Adivasi boys and girls were released from Bangalore from their bonded lives. But back home there is no work. So Kumli of Dilmili is already back to Vijaywada with another girl from Bhairamgarh. Other boys and girls are packing their bags to join them. Story of Adivasi girl from Bastar who was married, sold, resold, Pls help her

Shakeel Rizvi from Jagdalpur,Chhattisgarh is telling the story of Mangli Kunjam, an Adivasi girl from Bastar. Mangli was working in an anganwadi but after marriage and first child she lost her job. Husband deserted.She went to Delhi with help from a friend, who sold her. She was sold again and then escaped some how. She now lives in a children home. We're offered Rs 4500/month but given 100 a week: Released bonded labor...

Shakeel Rizvi from Jagdalpur in Bastar Chhattisgarh is talking to an adivasi boy Sukalu from Bastanar village. He was one of the perons who were rescued by his NGO from South India recently. Sukalu tells him that he and other 25 adivasis were offered Rs 4500 salary per month.
