More details about Malaria deaths, Will Govt please listen?

Praful Chandel from Bilaspur says two days back on this platform I had informed about continuing malaria deaths in Bilaspur region of Chhattisgarh. Today I am giving you more details with name and father’s name and village. But we see no action from the Government because all these people are poor and they live in remote areas. Malaria deaths continue and Govt continues to be callous...

Praful Chandel from Bilaspur in Chhattisgarh says as you all know that last year many people had died of malaria in the state but administration has not taken any precautionary measures. He says 2 children have died of malaria last week near his village and he can see a small news item in a newspaper about another death by malaria in a nearby village. Malaria: Govt has not learnt any lessons from last years...

Praful Chandel says last year we have reported on this forum about huge Malaria problem in few blocks of Bilaspur district in Chhattisgarh but it seems Govt has not learnt any lessons. Today two people have died in Marwahi block. We are regularly hearing about malaria patients from other areas but neither the medicines are availalable nor there is any training being planned to brief the ground level health staff. 2 forest officials died of malaria but not in official records

Praful Chandel is sending details about death of two forest department officials due to malaria. He says because these two officials also went to a private hospital for their treatment where they died there is no mention of their death in official record. Praful asks if we do not know the exact number of deaths then how can we work to stop them next year? He says government took no precautionary measures in both the villages of forest officials which could have saved both the lives

Road accident becoming a major public health issue

Praful Chandel from Bilaspur Chhattisgarh says the number of road accidents are increasing in such a speed that it has become a major public health issue. In places like Bilaspur where there are no public transport available people are forced to use private vehicles and people use it at which ever way they want in absense of strict implementation of rules which are giving rise to more accidents on road
