Pannulal Dhritlahre from Chhattisgarh Mahila Manch says that affected villagers from the proposed barrage on Mahanadi in Janjgir-Champa district have started an indefinite dharna against the dam. They say unless their demands are met they will not allow the dam. Villagers say Govt plans to give water to companies whereas this will adversely affect the farmers so they should be given job then only the work on dam should go ahead.
