Sarla is talking to Pramila Devi of Akhil Bartiya Pragatisheel Mahila association who says that they work in Government schools as cook and get only Rs 10,000 for a year’s work. The cook is often forced to work as sweeper also. She demands that these workers should be included as school staff and should be given a salary of Rs 15,000 per month and not an honorarium of Rs 1000 which is given now.
