No ration cards from 15 years, No NREGA work in this Dalit-Adivasi village...

Mukesh Verma is visiting village Sangi of Luk Gram Panchayat in Jaba block of Rewa district of MP where people have no ration cards from 15 years. There are 70% adivasi and 30% dalit in the village.No one has got any work under NREGA. Health worker never visits the village. Polls were erected few years ago but electricity never came. Toilets built by Govt are low standard so we dont use them, says villagers...

Mukesh Verma in Rewa Madhya Pradesh is visiting a village Kutma which is declared a Nirmal gram where Govt has spent a lot of money in building toilets. He talks to one villager who tells him that more than 60 toilets were built but the construction is so bad that people are frightened to enter the toilets as one gets sunk in it when you enter. Dalits and adivasis in this MP village waiting for ration cards from 20 years!

Mukesh Verma with Land Rights Cycle Yatra in Jaba block of Rewa district in Madhya Pradesh has reached Sangi village. He says 50 Dalit and adivasi families live in this village. These people have not got ration card from 20 years. Old have not got pension from similar times. Some people have got papers for land deeds but the land has not been distributed. No old age pension from 2 years, Anganwadi center gives food once a month!

My name is Mukesh Verma. Today our Land Rights Cycle Yatra in Jaba block of Rewa district of Madhya Pradesh has reached Baraula village where I met Devkali Rawat a 70 year old lady who has not got her pension from last 2 years. Here no old is getting pension. Devkali Ji is not able to work and she used to beg. Now villagers also have stopped supporting her. Here anganvadi center gives food once a month.
