Villagers planting fruit bearing trees in forest, Company wants to mine there...

Litu Minj from Sundargarh district in Odisha is talking to villagers who are planting fruit bearing trees in forest near Chaplakundi village who tell that the forest is in bad shape due to mining and they are suffering. Villagers tell him that they have applied under Forest Rights Act for community right on forest. A RTI has revealed that the company does not have forest clearance for mining as they are claiming. House collapsed due to blasting in mines, Pls call company to help farmer...

Litu Minj from Sundargarh district of Odisha is telling that due to blasting in mines many houses have been cracked in villages in the area. He is talking to Gangadhar Sahu whose house collapsed yesterday which was cracked due to blasting before. No one from family was hurt. Most killed in Coal mine accident were displaced who got no compensation

Litu Minj from Sundargarh district of Odisha is telling us that as per media reports 11 people had died on 10th August in Mahanadi coalfield Ltd. But affected people tell death toll should be 35. They say all the affected families are displaced from the mine who are yet to get compensation and was earning livelihood by picking coal and that’s how they died. Live report from Niyamgiri Hills to discuss whether to allow Vedanta to mine
