Poor adivasis in Chhattisgarh jails need your help...

Kopa Kunjam from Chhattisgarh says all the poor adivasis who are in jail from 2009, many of them associated with political parties and some also elected members still languish in jail while all the rich have got bail. He says when court sends notice to people for statement many do not bother and the cases get delayed. High Court had ordered that if a witness does not turn up for 3 months then case should move ahead but this order is not being adhered. Poor in jail in Chhattisgarh need your help. Dantewada: Need to take Mitanin program to left out villages

Kopa Kunjam from Dantewada in Chhattisgarh says he went to a Mitanin training program yesterday and found the Mitanins full of energy. 400 Mitanins have been selected for Bhairamgarh block there and half of them have already been trained and are doing good work in the villages. Dantewada: Many school, anganwadis working only on paper

Kopa Kunjam from Dantewada says that in Bhairamgarh block, of the district all the schools and anganwadis on the villages on the other side of the river are only working on paper. The children are suffering from Malnutrition in the absence of anganwadis. Ths situation is similar in Usur and Bhopalpatnam block too.The concerned officers are requested to look into the matter and instruct for reopening of schools. Innocents in Bastar jail not getting legal help: Kopa Kunjam

Adivasi social activist Kopa Kunjam has come out on bail earlier this month. He was arrested on 10th Dec 2009 on murder charges. In this message he says he thanks all those who stood by him. He says he will continue his work in Bastar. Too many innocent people are in jail in Bastar because they are not getting legal help. He says he will continue to work to send food and medicine to people of Bastar who need it most and will also keep fighting to bring justice and peace to the region.
