Kamal Shukla is telling story of Markatola village in Kanker district Chhattisgarh. Villagers are demanding a high school from 2006. They first met Chief Minister but nothing came out of his assurance. First children boycotted the school. Then parents joined in. They have met all the officers and leaders possible. Tahsils have to issue certificates on immediate basis, but here staff is asking for bribe.A student Tameswar Sinha says he was asked for a bribe of 1000, where he paid 600 and got the certificate from Charama Tahsil, because of emergency. Kamal Shukla calling from Mardel village Bhanupratappur Tahsil, Kanker district (Chhattisgarh) says primary school here had become old and was left with one classroom for 5 classes. After reporting the issue on Swara on 29th June, education officers have now visited the village and have made arrangement for some more classrooms. Kamal Shukla is calling from Murdel village of Bhanupratappur Tahsil, Kanker district, Chhattisgarh and says Primary School building in the village is in pathetic condition and need to be renovated. All the 40 students of 5 classes are taught in a single class room. This building was built in 1975 and never been repaired so far. Issue was taken to officials 3 years ago but they did not hear. Kamal Shukla is calling from Santara village, Naharpur block in Kanker district, Chhattisgarh and describes how villagers have taken a significant decision. A person illegally occupied a land which belonged to village community. Villagers went on appealing from police, to Tahsildar, to SDM and collector but none responded.
