Govt talks about fearless MP but closure of voting at 3 pm tells other story...

Darbu Singh Uike from Balaghat in Madhya Pradesh says the district saw unprecedented security force presence this time during elections for the first time. He says though state Govt claims of a fearless state but the election authorities decided to stop polling at 3 pm in this area. Govt tought Baiga adivasis in English medium till class 5, Nowhere to go next!

Darbu Singh Uike from Balaghat in MP tells a curious case where Govt began English medium school for tribal children upto 5th standard. After the students pass the 5th class, they have to continue schooling in Hindi medium as there are no government English medium school. An adivasi village which worships wood rather then burning it on Holi day...

Kanha: Foresters using illegal monetary inducement, threat to evict adivasis

Darbu Singh Uike from Balaghat in Madhya Pradesh is telling us about villages inside Kanha National Park. He says according to Forest Rights Act of 2006 Govt can not remove adivasis by force from the national parks but they are using inducement of Rs 1 lakh to families who are leaving the park. Kanha authorities flouting rehabilitation laws to evict villagers, alleges leader...

Darbu Singh Uike former MLA from Balaghat in Madhya Pradesh is alleging that Kanha National Park authorities are flouting rehabilitation laws to evict villagers from 18 villages. The villagers are offered Rs 1.5 lakhs if they leave their houses first as a prize money.
