Ashish Sagar Dixit from Banda in Uttar Pradesh is telling us that earlier High Court had put a ban on loan recovery from farmers citing bad situation of agriculture. But recently Supreme Court has vacated that stay and in a public hearing yesterday district collector behaved very badly and asked farmers to pay back. Ashish Sagar from Banda in Bundelkhand area of Uttar Pradesh is telling us about a farmer who committed suicide few weeks back. Suresh Yadav was suffering from TB and had lots of loan. His wife died of cancer few years ago. His 3 orphan children are since running pillar to post but the administration is not ready to accept that the suicide was due to loans.
