I am Dalit and I live in Dalit basti. Construction of 8 common toilets in our area was not completed for long and all of us were suffering. When we recorded message on CGnet Swara I got call from officers that we are bringing bad name to district and our message was wrong. But after inspection it was found to be true and the construction work has again started and is about to be finished. Arti has met with Dalit family of Mulia Ahirwar in Sagpur village in Batiagarh block of Damoh district in MP whose house was burnt on 10th March after an accident and they suffered loss of more than 1.5 lakhs. Administration fixed an amount of Rs 14,000 as compensation but they are running pillar to post to get it. When they met local MLA he assured that compensation amount will be increased. Arti is visiting Anganwadi no 4 in Batiagarh village of Damoh district in Madhya Pradesh and finds that there are 40 children enrolled of age 3-6 years but center gets food for only 15. There is no facility for breakfast. Though Anganwadi is now opening on time but parents want that it should not close for 2 months in summer so their children could get some food. Arti Valmiki says she had reported on Swara about water problem in 2 places in Batiagarh in Damoh district MP. After that one place has now got a hand pump but when digging was about to start at next place local MLA diverted it to a temple. She is telling about 2 more places Neemkhera and Shahpura in Singpur panchayat where adivasis are drinking dirty water as they have no handpump.
