Activist Xavier Dias and 6 colleagues have been sent to jail on a case of 1989 when they had stopped a train during Jharkhand movement. The case was recently reopened and they were arrested in Chaibasa when they appeared in court. In the case of Dayamani Barla bail application was rejected today and we are now moving to High Court. Govt had started procurement process for this land in 1965 but no construction started so many tribals were using the land for their livelihood and were also paying tax.
