Village of 20 dalit-adivasi families has no hand pump, drinking dirty water...

Sitaram Kori is visiting Birpur village in Temni Panchayat, block Tyothar of Rewa district in Madhya Pradesh and finds the village of 20 dalit-adivasis don’t have any hand pump. They are drinking water from a near bystream after digging a pit. In rains the water gets muddy and they need to clean it for long before they can drink.
