Resan Budia from Koel Karo Jan sangathan Jharkhand says the first five year plan in 1955 included projects like Damodar Valley corporation, Bokaro, HAC and Koel Karo which meant that many adivasi families would be displaced for development. The distress of the displaced continues and so does the fight which started from Koel Karo more than 40 years ago. He appeals to people of the country to join their struggles against displacements.
