Afzal Khan from Bhopalpatnam in Chhattisgarh says mafia from Andhra is active in this area from many years who take away teak wood through Indravat river. But he says now the situation has reached such an alarming rate that mafias are active just 3 kms from the Bhopalpatnam city. Naxals have also tried to stop the smuggling from time to time but they are also not effective and it looks forest dept does not want to do anything about it.
