Tapan Das from Nuapada district of Odisha is telling us that Collector had given oral orders to farmers to build farm ponds upto the cost of Rs 10,000 to 2000 farmers in June 2010 under NREGA. But after one and half years none of the farmers have got the wages for digging the ponds. Rather the administration is charging the farmers of using machines to dig these ponds in their lands.
