Thousands took out rally in Raipur demanding livelihood rights

Alok Shukla from Chhattisgarh Bachao Andolan is reporting about a March to assembly on 8th of December in Raipur. Due to unprecedented heavy rain in the whole state many people could not join the rally but more than 2000 tribals and struggling people took out a rally in rain and were stopped by police where they presented a memorandum signed by more than a lakh people demanding better implementation of PESA, FRA, NREGA and stopping harassment of activists and displacement from ancestral lands in the name of development
