Deepak Das from Karnpura Bachao Sangharsh Samiti in Hazaribagh is telling us about police firing on peaceful protesters who were telling contractors of National Thermal Power Corporation to not to do any work without permission from Gram Sabha. Kesar Mahto and Nanhu Rana have died and 5 are injured. Govt has given coal mining lease to 35 companies in Karnpura area and people are protesting from 2004.
