Poles was erected the year Rajiv Gandhi died, No electricity yet, says villagers

Manish Rai from Surguja district in Chhattisgarh is visiting a village in Lakhanpur block called Soyda in Chando Gram Panchayat. The villagers tell him that the year Rajiv Gandhi died poles were erected in their village but electricity never came. Villagers had bought a tractor thinking they will be doing more farming with electricity around. In absense of electricity it is also difficult when elephants attack in the night.
