Officials demanding bribe of Rs 1000 for PDS ration card in Chhattisgarh

Chandra Pratap Singh from Navrachna Samaj Sevi Sanstha in Bilaspur in Chhattisgarh is visiting a village in Gourela block where he meets Mata Singh who tells him that Sarpanch and other officials in his village are demanding Rs 1000 or more each to give ration cards for subsidized food under Public Distribution Service. The officials also tell them that they can complain to whoever they want but cards will not be given. He requests us to take the matter to higher officals to help these hapless people.
