Women most affected by mine pollution, reaching stage of desperation...

Hiramani from West Singhbhum in Jharkhand describes the effects of mining dust, how different types of mines colour the landscape and effect all nature in the area. The effects of environmental pollution and poisoning as she calls it, affects the women most of all as their lives revolve around nature whether it be to get water for drinking, wood for cooking food, or building homes, whether the women are young, old or even pregnant. She says better planning could avoid these ill effects but women are getting desperate. Hiramani@9204688939
