Amitabh Patra is calling from Bargarh in Odisha to tell about people displaced by Hirakud dam which was built in 1957. Displaced people are living in 8 forest villages near the dam since then and do not have any basic facilities like road, water and electricity. Though Govt has ordered to convert all non-revenue villages to revenue in 2013 but still Forest dept is not allowing to make a road and get people Forest Rights Act facilities.
