Forest Right: Gram Sabha shd decide land ownership issues

More than 300 people from a rally organized by Bundelkhand Majdoor Kisan Shakti Sangathan, Damoh MP to submit a memorandum demanding review of land claims rejected by the government.Under the Forest Right act 2006, about 10000 claims were made but more than 4000 were rejected. Less than 600 claims were actually awarded. With thousands in distress, people demand a government order to start a campaign of re submitting the claims and visiting the site for certifying the claims, accepting the evidence of the senior residents and the gram sabha as the final authority.
